Join us for this 30 minute meditation to set up your day and your week! Perhaps even build on and/or strengthen a daily meditation practice by experiencing the powerful benefits of our group energy. Each week we will be setting a new theme and intention. This class is for everybody. Come as you are, feel better when you leave. This class is by donation for SASS.
Stretch & Strengthen:
This class is for students who are looking for a variety of strength and stretch building opportunities in a chill laid back class environment. It brings in different, interesting movement techniques based on non-traditional yoga theories while still staying true the chill Love Yoga way. This class will challenge your body and mind in an easy and accessible for everyone class.
Classes start at 12:10 and continue to 12:50. Want to get your yoga on but there's just too much going on in the evening? Lunch classes are here to save the day!
These easy, fun classes will lift you up and get you moving on your lunch hour. Take a break from your desk and spend lunch with us! Enjoy a 40 minute flow-style class that will help move your body and increase your metabolism. This class is designed to provide you with that extra energy to get you through that afternoon drag and keep you invigorated.
This class is for students who are looking for a wider variety of poses and strength building opportunities. Still based on the more traditional approach, this class will give you a more challenging experience than the beginner class while still being easy and gentle.
Steady Flow & Grow:
This class is for students who are looking for a more intermediate class than beginner or more continuous movement than an easy flow with a wider variety of poses and strength building opportunities. Still based on the more traditional approach, this class will give you a more challenging experience than the basics, but still easily adaptable to a beginner. Let’s grow our possibilities, minds and bodies in this innovative class. Also offered in a warm environment.
Stronger Flow & Grow:
Links traditional postures into a sequence of movements that flow naturally from one to the next while encouraging you to strengthen, lengthen and grow. This eclectic class will explore variations of sun salutations, standing and seated poses along with body balancing. Modifications will be provided for postures to enhance flexibility, alignment, and strength and make this class accessible for all. Connecting the breath with the movement of the body during the “flow” of yoga and deepening into the “stretch” allows energy to flow and provides relaxation for the busy mind. For students with some yoga experience looking to get stronger in every way.
Join us as we introduce the YogaWall to our Love Yoga Yogis. This class will examine the principles of a prop based yoga practice and will explore how to effectively make use of the yoga wall to support the body in various asanas.
Sequences are taught as a series of poses on and off the wall. This class lands more into yin and/or restorative yoga as we hold more passive and/or supported poses for longer periods of time to increase the benefits. This will enable the student to personally experience and understand how a prop based practice can calm, rebalance, and support the body on several levels. It’s also a safer way to explore inversions.
FitYoga = Strength + Flexibility + Cardio
Each class starts with a Yoga warm-up followed by a 15 minute high intensity interval workout to get the blood flowing! To finish up, we will cool down with some stretching and a sweet sweet savasana to relax.
Yin Yoga & Warm Yin:
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that is used to balance more vigorous practices by focusing solely on the stretching aspects of yoga creating a deep stretching experience. Great for athletes and yogis alike looking to increase range of motion. Yin targets the muscles and connective tissue of the hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders. Generally done in a variety of seated/floor postures that are held for a duration of 3 to 5 minutes. Some yoga experience is suggested however not needed. Try this class heated it a beautiful 25 degrees celsius.
Power Flow Yoga classes are in the Vinyasa-flow style of yoga. Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement, and the flow describes the way you will move fluidly from one yoga pose to another in rhythm with your breath.
We will take you through a flowing series of yoga poses and guide you on when to inhale and exhale. Although our classes follow a specific structure, we will modify each class to the needs of the students and bring variation and playfulness so that each class experience is different. We also encourage modifications to suit your level, so you can rest or challenge yourself depending on what your body needs. Experience is recommended for this class.
This hot soft (26-32 degrees) and fun flow yoga practice choreographed to the some of the best hits from our favourite bands! This practice is more than just adding music to a flow class; the series of postures is designed to perfectly fit with and complement the music. This soft flow class will be a 75 minute class, 45 minutes dedicated to soft flow and 20 minutes of yin yoga whereas we hold passive postures for a little longer, ending with a lovely savasna. Let your yoga practice help you experience the music in a new way! The heating system is powered by Infra Red heaters heating the room up to to 25-32 degrees celsius. The heat provides a method of detoxing and also encourages your body to become more limber and flexible. Radiant, or infrared heat, works differently from conventional heat also in that it does not “transfer” heat from a heating source, but rather it distributes it more evenly because it “radiates” the heat outward. It does not need a secondary transference method to warm an area, a person, a small room, or whatever the purpose might be. Infrared heat has numerous therapeutic benefits. The room is not oppressively hot when you enter, as far infrared heat works by using your body’s own energy to heat the room as you move through your practice. The room only gets hot when you do. This form of yoga is directed towards students who need a very gentle practice due to injury, stress or illness or who are simply looking for a softer and more supportive practice. It involves the use of props to allow the body to feel totally supported so that the body can relax and release. Poses are still held 3 to 5 minutes but students are always encouraged to listen carefully to their body and modify where necessary. All levels/ages are welcome. We often offer this class in a heated environment for added benefits.
